Chain Link Cowl Knitting Pattern

Here’s another beginner friendly free knitting pattern for all my knitting friends.  This Chain Link Cowl knitting pattern features an easy chain link pattern, plus a scrumptious big yarn, and a really easy seam to finish it off.

Don’t be deterred by the idea of a new stitch, after all, it’s all just knits and purls.  In this Chain LInk pattern, the knits and purls are alternated just so, and the result is quite nice.

I personally am in love with all the cowl things these days, as I love not having to worry about what to do with the ends of a scarf.  Also, I am developing a wee bit of an obsession for infinity scarves, for the same reason ( not a huge fan of loose ends) plus I love the way the extra layers pile up around my face.

Quick and Cozy Knitted Scarf Pattern

Part of what makes this knitted scarf so awesome is the yarn itself.  I used a super bulky yarn and the one I have chosen, Patons Melody yarn in Pinky Girl is a show stopper.

Barbie Clothes and Accessories Knitted Scarf Pattern Easy and Quick

Knitted Barbie Clothes – Scarf Pattern

One year for Christmas my Mom made me, along with a couple of other young girls,  a plethora of handmade Barbie Clothes, and as you can imagine, I was in awe. Although some were knit, some were crochet, and a lot of them some were sewn, all of them were fabulous and have stood the test of time.

Barbie Clothes and Accessories Knitted Scarf Pattern Easy and Quick

Knitting for Barbie and other fashion dolls can be really easy and a lot of fun.  The projects are small, work up really quick, are great stash busters, and you get the added bonus of gift giving that like in my case, will last a lifetime.  Also, you’ll find that Barbie is perhaps a lot more appreciative of receiving knitted goods for gifts than say, your Sister in Law.

Easy Knitted Barbie Clothes Scarf Pattern

This is too easy really.  The scarf is worked in stockinette stitch, which means that you knit one row, and then purl one row.  Again, it’s Barbie sized, therefore it’s pretty small and will work up quickly.   Although using stockinette stitch on just a few rows can cause the item to curl up on itself, which is perfect for a scarf.  However, to have your finished scarf lie flat, just fold it against the roll a few times, and it should keep.

All the Warm Things

It’s so much easier to enjoy the winter weather if you’re dressed properly, and knitting for kids is always just going to make you feel like a superstar.  If your winters are cold, you may want to consider alpaca or sheep’s wool.  ‘Real’ wool is better for warmth, however be sure to find a washable variety.  Go with acrylic yarns if washability if your priority.
